The following conversation took place while we were watching television recently.
Tim: Who is Charo?
Me: Ummmm ... Have you heard of The Love Boat?
Tim: No.
Me: Ummmmm ...
Seriously. I dare you to answer that question without consulting Wikipedia.

hey - didn't your person grow up in California during the 70's? And he doesn't remember Sunday nights on ABC which included The Love Boat and Fantasy Island?! PTSD maybe?
He spent one year in Cali in .. ummm ... '78? I think? And he was so unhappy that I think he blocked out as much American cluture as possible. Maybe he spent Saturday nights crying into his pillow.
Or it's PTSD. One or the other.
Charo is a classical guitarist with an extremely vivacious screen presence who has done a LOT of TV. She was, when he was alive, considered second only to Segovia.
Auntie, I don't know who you are, but if you were me then you would know that I would only be able to give that sort of explanation after consulting Wikipedia. And Tim still wouldn't have known what I was talking about. So I don't think that counts. ;)
Now I am off to google "Segovia".
Auntiematter is my housemate. She's cool. :)
